The Net Zero Operations Officer is responsible for supporting emissions reduction reporting across the department's national property portfolio. You will assist and participate in co-ordination of reporting, administration and engagement activities for the work program described in the department's Emissions Reduction Plan (ERP). You will assist in validating emissions reporting and briefing for energy utility procurements and uplift of the department's property portfolio towards our Net Zero by 2030 targets outlined in our ERP. As the Net Zero Operations Officer, you will: Contribute to improving the department's portfolio utility and emissions reporting. Engage with internal and external stakeholders. Respond to requests for utility and emissions data reviews with limited guidance. Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainability improvements to the department's property portfolio. Contribute to development and implementation of frameworks, policies, guidelines and briefs. Contribute to the department's ongoing review and implementation of the Emissions Reductions Plan in alignment to the APS Net Zero by 2030 Strategy. Review utility contracts and project plans (including evaluation reporting) for annual reporting and briefing. Contribute to energy procurement risk assessments, evaluation and co-ordination. Perform quality assurance of risks and treatments for area of responsibility. Perform independent research work and analysis and preparation of briefing on relevant emissions reduction initiatives. Contribute to the development of team objectives for short term tasks and strategic planning for longer-term initiatives across the property portfolio. Support project and facilities administration, record keeping, compliance and reporting to assist with delivery of a range of sustainability outputs governed by the application of regulations, best practice principles or the agency's operating instructions and procedures. Management of reporting dashboards in platforms, such as PowerBi. Manage relationships with stakeholders to achieve work area and agency goals.
