About the role The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring precise financial reporting, overseeing group consolidation, ensuring statutory compliance, and empowering business decisions through robust accounting processes and insightful analysis. Responsibility Accounting Operations Manage daily accounting activities and ensure GL accuracy. Lead month-end closing, including reconciliations, P&L analysis, accruals, provisions, and intercompany settlements. Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and discrepancy resolution. Perform monthly multi-entity group consolidation, reconcile consolidation adjustments and ensure proper accounting treatment. Maintain financial documentation and improve accounting processes and controls. Maintain consistency, accuracy, and data integrity to facilitate the reporting and analysis process and enhance quality. Statutory Reporting & Compliance Prepare annual statutory financial statements and audit workpapers. Lead external audit activities and ensure timely sign-off. Oversee tax compliance and filing across relevant jurisdictions. Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, internal stakeholders and external service providers. Management Reporting & FPA Support Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and KPI dashboards. Assist in annual budgeting and periodic forecasting, working closely with cross-functional teams. Conduct financial modelling, scenario analysis, and cost-benefit evaluations for strategic initiatives. Provide analytical insights and recommendations to support leadership in performance management, development of financial plans and resource allocation analysis. P rocess Improvement & Controls Support continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and reporting tools. Contribute to the enhancement of reporting frameworks, automation initiatives, and standardization of reporting templates. Requirements Tertiary Degree in Business or Commerce with an Accounting Major or similar 5 years of accounting-related experience. CPA/CA qualified. Strong technical expertise in advanced financial reporting. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis tools); familiarity with Power BI or AI-based data automation tools is an advantage. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively. Strong strategic thinker with excellent reporting and analytical skills. Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt. Big 4 or 2nd tier firm mover most welcome. Mandarin fluency is desirable. Experience with the financial service industry would be a plus.
