We are seeking a Management Accountant to join a leading transport organisation in Melbourne's South East. Description Preparation of monthly management accounts for presentation to General Manager and MD Preparation of monthly reconciliations of all inter-company balances in line with company procedures Work closely with the financial controller to prepare annual budgets and forecasts where necessary Prepare year end financial statements together with supporting schedules and liaise with external auditors as required Calculate and prepare all statutory accounts and tax payments to ensure compliance with ATO requirements Ensure appropriate cash receipting procedures are at all times compliant with company policy Supervise the credit control and accounts payable function and ensure compliance with company policies Regularly monitor warranty claims and other receivables from the franchiser Supervise all company stock-takes and ensure adequate stock control Ensure the retention and adequate storage of files as required by law Profile Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail in financial analysis. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively. Experience in the Transport, Logistics or Manufacturing industry highly regarded. Ability to assess current practices, streamline processes, and develop innovative improvement strategies while ensuring compliance with policies and legislation. Provides guidance to others, sets clear objectives, monitors team performance, and develops systems to support customer relationships aligned with company strategy.
