About the Role This role supports delivery of the Lotterywest funded Ready Together Program, a community-led initiative focused on building disaster resilience across Western Australia. You will work alongside regional communities to co-design and deliver locally relevant, inclusive, and practical solutions that strengthen emergency preparedness, response, and recovery. As Officer – Resilience (Regional) you’ll collaborate with community leaders, volunteers and the project team to ensure that resilience-building efforts reflect the diversity, strengths, and priorities of these communities. While the focus for this position is on regional communities, you’ll work closely with colleagues to ensure a holistic, all-of-community approach to resilience. Travel to regional areas will be required. The most important requirement for this position is a strong understanding of community development principles, an understanding of the challenges regional communities face and a genuine passion for advocating for equity and inclusion. You will bring: A solid grasp of disaster resilience, emergency management, and community development. Skills in developing and delivering training, workshops, and resources. Strong advocacy and communication abilities to support stakeholder engagement. Analytical skills to help evaluate programs and use data to inform practice. The ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and communities. Good time management and organisational skills. Mandatory Requirements A clearance to work with Children and a current Driver’s License is required for this role.
