By leveraging robotics, AI, autonomy, and other emerging technologies, the Army's Robotics and Autonomous Systems Implementation Coordination Office (RICO) translates concepts into solutions that strengthen Army's ability to respond to emerging threats. As an APS6 Project Support Officer, you will lead and coordinate complex RICO projects, ensuring project outcomes deliver operational advantage. You will manage stakeholder engagement, support project planning and governance processes, and contribute to Army's capability development strategies. Responsibilities include preparing complex briefs and submissions for senior decision-makers, managing risks and schedules, and guiding project teams to deliver results. You will also coach and mentor staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. You will work directly to the Project Manager to and support with strong leadership, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to exercise judgement in complex environments. Your role: Lead development and maintenance of project planning and governance processes Prepare complex briefs, reports, and submissions for senior decision-makers. Manage stakeholder engagement and anticipate needs. Monitor risks, schedules, and performance to ensure successful delivery. Assist the project manager in the development of project management documents such as project budgets, project schedules, scope statements and project plans. Execute project management administrative tasks such as managing invoices, purchase orders and inventory reports. Meeting with project clients to assess their needs and define project requirements, acceptance criteria and project timelines. Assign tasks to team members and help them understand what is expected from them in terms of project milestones and deliverables. Help project managers monitor project progress and team members' performance and provide updates to project stakeholders.
