About the Role We’re looking for a Civil Engineer with dam safety expertise – or someone ready to grow into that space – to join our dynamic Engineering team at Pioneer Energy. If you're looking to mix technical work with field-based inspections, compliance with creativity, and civil assets with national infrastructure – this is the role for you. As our Dam Safety / Civil Engineer, you'll support and lead work across hydro, wind and thermal infrastructure, dam compliance, asset upgrades, and civil engineering projects. Based in Alexandra or Christchurch, you’ll help power Aotearoa’s clean energy future. Why Pioneer Energy? What You’ll Be Doing Lead and support dam safety inspections and compliance work; - Contribute to upgrades civil infrastructure, risk assessments or dams and other electricity generation assets, and planning and management of civil engineering projects - Collaborate with internal operational, engineering and asset management teams - Participate in project design, documentation, budgeting and delivery - Travel throughout NZ to inspect and work on electricity generation sites within the Pioneer Energy asset portfolio.
