Key Responsibilities: Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes across all sections of the kitchen. Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation in line with venue standards. Support the Head Chef in coordinating daily kitchen operations and service flow. Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal specials. Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS regulations. Manage stock rotation, monitor inventory, and minimise food wastage. Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment at all times. Train, guide, and support junior kitchen staff as needed. Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service delivery. Contribute positively to overall kitchen performance and team culture. About You: Demonstrated experience as a Chef in a high-volume pub, bistro, or restaurant environment. Strong understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations. Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple tasks during busy service periods. Excellent teamwork, communication, and time-management skills. Commitment to high standards of food quality and hygiene. Flexibility to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays. Relevant cookery qualifications are highly regarded.
