T he client is looking for a skilled and passionate Cook to join their team. If you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment and have a commitment to culinary excellence, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities Inspecting food items to maintain quality standards Monitoring and adjusting temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking appliances Preparing and cooking various dishes Seasoning food during the cooking process Portioning meals, plating dishes, and adding sauces, gravies, and garnishes Storing food in temperature-controlled environments Preparing meals tailored to specific dietary needs May plan menus and estimate ingredient requirements May supervise and train kitchen staff and apprentices. Requirements Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents encouraged to apply AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualifications including at least two to three years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV Minimum of 1 – 2 years of demonstrated experience in a Cook, ideally within a comparable restaurant. Ability to work well in a team under pressure.
