About the Centre Located at the corner of Keighery Drive and Tuckers Road, our Ramlegh centre in Clyde North is in close proximity to local primary schools, community wetlands and other community facilities. Our Ramlegh centre has 8 spacious rooms that support children through their entire learning journey, catering for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old. As an assistant chef you will help with food preparation and make sure everything is clean and sanitized. Responsibilities Clean the kitchen and food preparation areas Clean cooking and general utensils Wash, peel and chop vegetables and fruit Prepare meals Set up food and beverage trays for serving to children Comply with the centre’s nutrition guidelines Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen in accordance with centre policies About you Commercial Cookery Qualifications / Certificate III or higher preferred, but not necessary Previous experience in childcare preferred Food Safety Supervisor Certificate Food safety knowledge Have the ability to cater for allergies and dietary requirements Ensure health & safety standards are maintained at a high level at all times Ability to work on your own and maintain a clean and functional kitchen during Chef’s absence Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Current Working with Children check, First-Aid Certificate, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training If you share our vision and want to join our community, we encourage you to apply.
