The successful applicant will be on a fixed rostered late that commences at 13:30-22:00 hours weekdays, Monday-Friday. Seeking a savvy individual to join our team of hard-working friendly Health professionals. This role will provide assistance to scientific and technical laboratory staff by operating and maintaining the instruments, equipment and facilities of the laboratory. This includes being involved in such quality actions as instrument and temperature checks. Key competencies (role specific criteria): You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following: - Experience in, or a desire and ability to rapidly acquire knowledge in Anatomical Pathology laboratory duties.- Effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively and accurately as part of a team.- Proficiency in the use of laboratory information systems or the ability to rapidly acquire these skills.- Demonstrated ability to provide operational support to a medium-sized Anatomical Pathology team, including the allocation of resources.- Demonstrated ability to work in a high through put environment still maintaining a high attention to detail. - Ability to manually handle consumables / stock reagents, including but not limited to bulk hazardous goods.
