What you will do In the Manager, Financial Services role, you will:- Lead the unit to deliver efficient, high-quality financial and workforce support aligned with the agency's strategic objectives. - Provide strategic, timely, and authoritative advice on Queensland Government financial management, policies, frameworks, and guidelines.- Coordinate the annual budget process and mid-year review in collaboration with cost centre and senior managers. - Oversee financial systems to ensure compliance with legislation and QCAA policies. - Lead the preparation of annual financial statements in line with Australian Accounting Standards and government reporting requirements. - Deliver financial reporting requirements for the State Budget, including Service Delivery Statements and ministerial briefings. - Maintain contemporary knowledge of accounting developments and priorities across the public sector and conduct necessary research to address and resolve accounting issues that emerge.- Foster strong internal and external stakeholder relationships and promote a culture of performance, feedback, and continuous improvement.
