We’re looking for a Data Integrity and Projects Officer to lead a city-wide bin audit and data reconciliation project that will shape how waste services are delivered across the City of Tea Tree Gully. The Data Integrity and Projects Officer plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and delivering the city-wide bin audit and data integrity project. This project-based role leads field audit operations, analyses and cleanses data, refines processes, and builds a reliable, future-ready digital bin asset register that supports accurate asset management and improved customer service. Position Description – Data Integrity and Projects Officer (Waste) This is a 1.0 FTE position on a 12 month contract. Key responsibilities include: Design, implement, and deliver the City-wide bin audit and data reconciliation project ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Design, test, and refine methodologies and tools to capture accurate field data, and oversee scheduling, on-ground delivery, and quality control. Analyse, consolidate, verify, and cleanse data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with Council policies and applicable legislative requirements. Align field-collected data with digital records, databases, and billing systems, identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions to maintain an up-to-date bin asset register. Develop processes that will ensure the ongoing integrity of the bin asset register. Foster collaboration between all stakeholders to promptly resolve data issues. Ensure Council’s service standards are met, customer enquiries and complaints are handled efficiently in a knowledgeable, confidential, and timely manner, ensuring delivery is responsive and customer centric. Prepare detailed reports summarising audit outcomes, data quality, and actionable insights. Recommend process improvements and efficiencies to enhance service delivery and support strategic decision-making. Lead and support other projects, including service improvements, waste reduction initiatives, and data management enhancements. About you Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience managing and reconciling multiple complex datasets. Proficiency in data management and reporting tools, including advanced Excel and Salesforce. High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and integrity. Demonstrated experience delivering projects, audits or process improvement initiatives. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to build collaborative working relationships with a diversity of stakeholders. Initiative, adaptability and a commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence. Sound understanding of data governance, integrity practices and information security. Experience using corporate systems and working in data-driven environments. Knowledge of local government, waste management or resource recovery (desirable). Personal integrity and behaviours aligned with Council values. Diploma/Certificate level qualification in data analytics, information management, project management or a related field or strong demonstrated equivalent experience. Hold and maintain a South Australian Class C driver’s licence. Hold and maintain a National Criminal History Check. Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment. Apply today!
