If you are in the early stages of your career and have some relevant experience, maybe you have just finished your Masters' in Project Management at Uni, this role is an amazing opportunity to gain valuable hands on experience with a pathway to a Project Manager role in due course. Task Coordination: Assist the Project Manager in planning, organising, and tracking project tasks and deliverables. Monitor progress against project plans and schedules, ensuring tasks are completed on time. Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and resolve any issues impacting project timelines. Financial Management: Track and manage project budgets, including monitoring expenses and forecasting costs. Prepare financial reports and provide regular updates to the Project Manager and stakeholders. Identify and escalate any financial risks or variances to the Project Manager. Schedule Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are clearly defined. Monitor schedule performance and identify potential delays or risks. Work with the Project Manager to implement corrective actions to keep projects on track. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including status reports, risk registers, and financial summaries. Provide regular updates to the Project Manager and stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues. Ensure all project records are accurate, up-to-date, and stored appropriately. Risk and Issue Management: Assist in identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks and issues. Support the Project Manager in developing contingency plans and resolving challenges as they arise. Team Support: Provide administrative and operational support to the project team as required. Foster collaboration and communication within the team to ensure smooth project delivery. Qualifications & Experience Must have tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, IT, or related field Proven experience in project controls, preferably within IT or utilities sector Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMBOK) Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., SAP, MS Excel, Power BI) Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities APPLY NOW - Don't send a cover letter, just your CV No overseas applications - must be in Australia and have full work rights
