The Opportunity My client is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Fund Accountant professional to join our Finance team. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations, accounting, and reporting for my client's investment funds. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of fund financial information. Key Responsibilities Oversee the financial reporting, accounting, and control environment for their managed investment funds. Manage relationships with external fund administrators, auditors, and custodians. Review and approve NAV calculations, investor reporting, and fund performance metrics. Provide analytical insights to support portfolio management, investor relations, and strategic decision-making. Lead and mentor a small team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, fund governance, and regulatory requirements (ASIC, AFSL, AIFMD, etc.). Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance financial efficiency and transparency. About You Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CA/CPA qualification preferred. 5-8 years’ experience in fund accounting, financial control, or audit within funds management, private equity, or alternative investments. Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS/AASB) and experience with fund structures. Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholders and deliver high-quality financial outcomes. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
