You’ll work alongside experienced Accountants from Big 4, mid-tier and reputable boutique firms, with access to ongoing tax updates, internal training sessions, and structured development pathways. Job Description Reporting to Manager and Team Leader, you will work across a diverse portfolio of SME and family-group clients. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on learning, technical growth, and building confidence in client work. Key responsibilities: • Prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS, IAS and payroll tax • Assist with tax planning, basic advisory prep and year-end compliance • Prepare workpapers, reconciliations, and support documentation • Attend to client queries professionally and in a timely manner • Manage your workflow, WIP, and timesheets • Learn and apply ATO legislative changes and attend monthly tax updates • Use MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks and relevant industry software • Collaborate closely with Seniors and Principals, asking questions and developing your technical understanding • Contribute to a positive team environment and attend internal training Successful Applicant You will ideally bring: • 2 years accumulative experience in public practice • Strong grounding in tax compliance and financial reporting • Exposure to SME, trust, company, individual and/or basic group structures • Familiarity with software such as Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks • Willingness to learn Div 7A, CGT, FBT and tax planning concepts • Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset • A team-based attitude with desire to progress to Senior level What’s on Offer • Competitive salary ($70K–$85K super depending on experience) • Supportive environment with structured technical training • Monthly tax updates ongoing mentoring • Great exposure to quality clients and advisory tasks • Real progression pathway to Senior • Stable, reputable large firm with long-term opportunities Please contact: jill.yeoh@profusiongroup.com | 0434087865 We are committed to providing a supportive culture and positively contributing towards creating diverse and inclusive workplaces for our candidates & clients.
