Cairns Hospital is the only major referral hospital in Far North Queensland and also provides care for people from Cape York and the Torres Strait. About your role: Support and advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients/families with a range of MHAOD services and other service providers. Collaboration on assessment, case management, intake and discharge by providing cultural guidance, information, education and support to health professionals, community based workers and other service providers. The use of cultural assessments tools i.e. CIGT are core to the role. Knowledge of, or ability to quickly acquire and apply knowledge of, relevant applications, e.g. Outlook & CIMHA. Working collaboratively and in partnership with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, health service providers and other health professionals.
