About your role: Act as a regional advisory resource for primary and acute health care agencies in the investigation and management of syphilis and genital ulcer disease. Maintain and improve the syphilis surveillance service in the northern half of Queensland and monitor syphilis epidemiology through liaison with sexual health units, the public health units, primary health care centres and other relevant health professionals across Australia. Ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained in accordance with Queensland Health and district policy.
