POSITION : TROPICAL FRUIT FARM WORKER - FULL TIME Salary: $67,000 to $75,000 per year About this role As a Tropical Fruit Farm Worker, you will play a hands-on role in the day-to-day operations of the orchard. You will contribute to the cultivation, maintenance, and harvesting of tropical fruit crops such as mango, rambutan, guava, and jackfruit. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe and sustainable farming practices. Job Responsibilities Assisting with planting, cultivating, fertilizing, and watering tropical fruit trees. Pruning, thinning, and maintaining trees to promote healthy growth. Harvesting fruit according to maturity and quality standards, ensuring careful handling to reduce damage. Sorting, grading, and packing harvested fruit for storage, sale, or distribution. Supporting pest, weed, and disease control activities while following biosecurity guidelines. Performing routine farm maintenance, including cleaning, mowing, and caring for irrigation systems and equipment. Keeping basic records of farm tasks and reporting issues to supervisors. Working as part of a team meets seasonal production targets and ensure workplace safety. Skills and Experience Required Previous experience in farming or agricultural work (preferred). Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual and repetitive tasks, including lifting heavy objects. Basic knowledge of plant care, irrigation, and pest management (an advantage). Able to drive automobile, Operating tractors and farm equipment’s Strong communication skills and a cooperative, team-oriented attitude. Job Responsibility: You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of crop production, from planting to harvesting, and ensuring that all activities are carried out safely and efficiently. Job Description: Planning and coordinating the production of exotic fruit such as mango crops, Rambutan, Guava, Jackfruit, from pruning to harvest, taking into account environmental and market factors Planning production Coordinating and undertaking cultivating, fertilising and watering to maintain optimal production, mango health and growing conditions Organising and undertaking farming operations and routines, such as picking, storing, grading and packaging mangoes Directing and undertaking general farming activities to maintain plant health by managing biosecurity and other risks and controlling pests and weeds Planning and undertaking the provision and maintenance of infrastructure such as equipment and irrigation systems Maintaining records of farming activities Select, train and supervise staff and contractors. Skills and Experience Required: Hands-on, practical, and efficient Previous experience in commercial irrigated cropping farming operations, with a proven track record in managing large cropping properties. Strong commercial acumen Experience in workforce planning High standards of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Tertiary qualification(s) in agriculture, or equivalent (preferred) Knowledge of best practices for cropping Proven experience in crop planning and a proactive approach to modern farming techniques.
