Experienced General Farm Hand required on a lovely family run farm near Dandaragan (150km north of Perth, 45km from Moora and 60km from Lancelin). This is a mixed farming enterprise which crops wheat, barley, lupins and canola and runs a large flock of sheep. Accommodation and a competitive salary package is on offer. You will have relevant skills and a farming background, with proven ability to work long hours when required. Good Things to Know: Cropping program consists of wheat, barley, lupins and canola Location: Dandaragan, 150km north of Perth, 45km from Moora and 60km from Lancelin Primary school to Year 6 High school in Moora - bus runs past the farm Team of 3 About the role: Operating a variety of agricultural machinery such as sprayers, headers, air Seeders, spreaders Mustering, Drenching and drafting sheep Mechanical duties including maintenance of plant and equipment (experience desirable but not essential) Skills Required: Experience operating machinery Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude Be a team player along with the ability to work unsupervised Flexibility with seasonal work and work hours Knowledge of Autosteer/GPS systems desirable (can provide training) Mechanical knowledge and ability to weld is desirable Previous experience in spraying, seeding and harvest (desirable) Manual class c motor vehicle licence (essential) HR truck license, or willingness to obtain (desirable) What's on Offer : Competitive salary and negotiable dependent on experience Hours: OFF-SEASON: 9 hours, 5 days a week; PEAK-SEASON: 12 hours, 6 days per week Accommodation is a neat and tidy house on property Work vehicle for work purposes
