We are seeking a qualified Grade 2 Allied Health Assistant who is passionate about supporting clients and may have an interest or experience working in Dietetics. While your primary focus will be Dietetics, you'll also gain exposure to a wide range of Allied Health services. Contract: Ongoing, Full-Time, 80.0 hours per fortnight with monthly Accrued Days Off (ADO). The position: In this role, you will work primarily in Dietetics to provide clinical support and direct therapy services for clients that promotes, maintains and assist recovery and independence in all aspects of daily living. Besides Dietetics, other areas you will work may include Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Physiotherapy and Podiatry. Under the direction of an Allied Health professional, key tasks will include providing clinical care to patients in individual or group settings, using screening tools to gather information, documenting client progress and managing supplies and equipment. A demonstrated flexible approach to service delivery with a willingness to undertake a range of clinical and non-clinical duties. An understanding of the physical and psychological aspects of rehabilitation care and the ability to treat, empathise with and provide person centred care to individuals with a range of abilities. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
