How you'll make an impact As a Configuration Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing AMP’s Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to ensure accurate visibility of IT assets, relationships, and dependencies. Your work will underpin IT Service Management processes, improve risk management and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements like CPS230. You’ll collaborate across technology and business units to align CMDB capabilities with organisational needs, driving automation and process improvements that make life easier for our stakeholders. What you'll bring to the role You’ll combine deep technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills to ensure AMP’s CMDB remains a trusted source of truth for IT operations. Specifically, you will bring: Technical Skills Configuration Management Expertise: Minimum 3 years managing CMDBs, preferably in ServiceNow, including Discovery, integrations, and data ingestion. ITIL Framework Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT Service Management processes (Incident, Problem, Change) and how CMDB supports them. Cloud Environment Experience: Familiarity with Azure and AWS, ensuring configuration data spans hybrid environments. Data Governance & Compliance: Ability to establish data ownership, enforce standards, and maintain regulatory compliance (e.g., CPS230). Analytical & Troubleshooting Skills: Extensive experience resolving CMDB issues, optimizing data models, and ensuring accuracy. Automation & Process Improvement: Knowledge of AI/ML-driven automation and emerging best practices to enhance efficiency. Soft Skills Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled at managing multiple teams’ requirements and translating technical concepts into business value. Communication Excellence: Clear, concise written and verbal communication for documentation, reporting, and training. Customer-Centric Mindset: Strong service orientation with experience in customer-facing roles. Adaptability & Resilience: Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adjust to evolving priorities. Collaboration & Teamwork: Comfortable working independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
