Are you passionate about protecting Queensland's unique marine wildlife? Join our team as a Program Coordinator within Threatened Species Operations at Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. Based in Dutton Park, this is a rare opportunity to lead the Aquatic Research and Monitoring team in undertaking recovery-focused research on iconic species like marine turtles, dugongs, and in-shore dolphins. In this role, you'll coordinate a research and monitoring program that supports the management, protection, and recovery of threatened aquatic species. You'll work closely with First Nations communities, research institutions, and other stakeholders to deliver evidence-based solutions that address key challenges for Threatened Species. Your responsibilities will include leading a dedicated team and their resources, managing budgets, and preparing reports and recommendations to improve conservation outcomes. We're looking for a motivated leader with strong project management skills, an eye for safety and detail, experience in managing vessels, and a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to fieldwork and research, and to the future of Queensland's environment. This temporary role (until May 2026, with potential for extension) offers a supportive and inclusive workplace culture, opportunities for professional development, and the chance to make a real impact. If you're ready to lead a team and help protect Queensland's marine life, we'd love to hear from you! Applications to remain current for 12 months
