BE part of the solution We are looking for an Estimator who will provide support to the Commercial & Growth Team by preparing cost estimates for proposals and projects. You will be playing a key role in many aspects including bid preparation, planning and coordinating presentations, document writing, design, HSEQ, reporting and document control. You will have the ability to work with ambiguity and deal with multiple stakeholders. To be part of the change this role will: Estimate Interpret technical drawings, analyse plans, specifications, drawings and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates covering all aspects of a proposal / project, factoring in HSE and compliance requirements, risk contingencies and all other relevant aspects Identify labour, material, and time requirements for projects Challenge, when appropriate, the status quo or historical approaches to project construction processes Develop and maintain cost databases and estimation tools Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability Ensure cost estimates comply with client requirements and company policies and procedures Provide feedback and recommendations for improving future estimates Maintain records of estimates and revisions for audit and reference purposes Prepare high-level project / opportunity budgeting where required Proposal preparation Attend tender, EOI and BAFO briefings Track submission dates and undertake submissions BE this person As part of the solution, you will have: Solid experience in completing and submitting tenders ideally in the electrical sector Experience in renewable projects Electrical Engineer certification or Electrical Trade certification – desirable Excellent interpersonal and communications skills Proficiency in MS Office Experience or exposure in renewable projects Knowledge of electrical regulations Power Station, PV and/or BESS installation experience - desirable Why Join We’re committed to supporting our team with benefits that matter: Flexible work arrangements, 2 days WFH & a 9-day-fortnight option Free on-site parking 17 weeks paid paternity leave or double the time for a half pay option Health & wellness reimbursements Employee referral bonus Salary continuance insurance Salary sacrifice for super, vehicles, education Ongoing training and development, and so much more!
