We are now ready to grow in a more intentional way, and we are hiring our first dedicated Business Development Manager to help us reach more SMB customers across Brisbane. Your New Role You will enjoy sitting down with small business owners and decision makers to understand how their business runs and where technology is slowing them down. You will have real conversations about productivity, risk, cost, cloud, security and growth. You will help clients make sense of their IT challenges and show them what good looks like. This is a hunter role, and you will be out in the field often. You will visit clients, attend networking events, join partner breakfasts, walk through business sites and build your presence in the Brisbane SMB market. You will also spend time prospecting and following up with new leads. Because this is our first BDM, there is no rigid structure. You can help shape how prospecting, outbound activity, networking and territory development should work. You will have support from delivery and technical teams and account managers will look after existing clients so you can focus on new business. It is a choose your own adventure role for someone who wants autonomy and variety. What You Will Be Doing This is a full 360 degree sales position. Your week will include: Identifying and mapping your SMB territory in Brisbane Calling prospects and following up leads Booking and running face to face meetings Attending BNI groups and partner events Working with our technical team to shape solutions Running discovery conversations that uncover real problems Presenting proposals and guiding clients through decisions Closing new Managed Services, Cloud and Cybersecurity contracts Maintaining a clear and disciplined pipeline in HubSpot Helping set the habits of a modern sales function inside our business Some days you will be on the phone. Some days you will be on the road. Some days you will be moving between meetings, events and proposals. Every day you will be driving new business. Your Background and Experience You do not need to be an engineer and you do not need MSP experience. What matters is your ability to start conversations, build trust and create new opportunities. You will do well here if you bring: B2B new business experience in IT, MSP, SaaS, Cyber, Telco or a transferable industry Proven high performer who has success selling to SMB & Mid Market Strong communication skills in person and over the phone A curious approach and the ability to ask great questions A professional and credible style with business owners Commitment to follow up and pipeline management Comfort working in a small business with autonomy and trust Energy, resilience and a preference for variety in your week If you enjoy meeting clients and opening doors, you will thrive here.
