An established organisation within the Toowoomba region is seeking an experienced Governance Project Officer to support a major governance review and assist in strengthening organisational frameworks, processes, and documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys developing clear and practical governance materials, and is comfortable working with a range of internal stakeholders. Local Government experience will be highly regarded. Key Responsibilities: Develop and review policies, procedures, governance frameworks and supporting documentation Coordinate governance-related activities including meetings, consultations, workshops and project milestones Assist in preparing reports, briefs, and project documentation Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information, ensure alignment, and support best-practice governance Contribute to process improvements and organisational accountability Provide high-level administrative and project support as required About You: Experience developing governance documentation (policies, procedures, frameworks, registers, etc.) Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels Well-organised, proactive and capable of managing competing priorities Local Government or public sector experience (highly advantageous but not essential) Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team Comfortable working in a hybrid environment What’s on Offer: 12-month contract with possibility of extension Hybrid working arrangement – flexibility to work from home and the office Opportunity to contribute to an important organisational initiative Competitive hourly rate and supportive team environment If you are a strong communicator with a passion for governance and documentation, we would love to hear from you.
