Description Key Focus of This Position: The Junior Umpiring Conference Coordinators provides operational and administrative support for the delivery of umpiring across junior football competitions within their Conference. Working closely with the Umpiring Club Coordinators, the role focusses on operational coordination to ensure a positive and consistent experience for all umpires. While an interest in umpiring is helpful, prior umpiring experience is not necessary. 3 metro region-based roles available: Metro North (Claremont, West Perth and Subiaco districts) Metro South (East Fremantle, South Fremantle districts) Metro Central (Perth, Swan Districts, East Perth districts) Contract terms: February to October Hourly rate: $31.86 plus superannuation 15 hours per week, offered with arrangements negotiable to suit the successful candidate Primary Responsibilities Include: • Coordinate day-to-day administration and operations for junior umpiring within their Conference. • Monitor the delivery of key umpiring activities by Umpiring Club Coordinators to ensure consistency and timely completion. • Maintain accurate records of umpire registration, accreditation and compliance. • Support appointments and communication processes with Umpiring Club Coordinators. • Assist with match appointments and manage updates within OfficialsHQ. • Liaise with competition staff and club contacts to ensure smooth competition operations. • Provide basic support for resolving game day or competition related issues. • Support uniform and equipment distribution to umpires and Umpiring Clubs. • Compile simple operational reports and communicate updates to Umpiring WA. • Promote clear communication and positive relationships between WA Football and Umpiring Clubs. Skills And Experiences Required Skills and Experience: Strong organisational and administrative skills. (E) Excellent written and verbal communications. (E) Strong time management skills and reliability. (E) Excellent interpersonal, team work and relationship building skills (E) Sound knowledge of, and experience in community sport or volunteer-based environments.
