About the role This position is responsible to assist in delivery of waste programs, including waste behavioural change / education programs that will contribute to waste reduction, increased recycling and enhance the City’s management and systems for waste services. Duties Key responsibilities include: Serve as the first point of contact for all community waste enquiries Develop and deliver engaging waste education programs that encourage correct waste behaviours Organise and host waste education events in partnership with schools, community groups, internal teams and external stakeholders Conduct waste audits and inspections to support data-driven decision-making Who we are Looking for: To be considered for this position, you will need: Passion for environmental sustainability and reducing landfill waste. Strong influencing skills to drive decisions and outcomes. Self-motivated with a positive attitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Effective time management and organisational abilities. Experience in waste/resource recovery or relevant tertiary qualifications. Skilled in negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement. Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Flexible to work outside standard hours. Current National Police Clearance and WA “C” Class driver’s licence.
