Regulatory Compliance and Audit Officer (A06) About the Organisation Eden Ritchie is partnering with this government agency to recruit a Regulatory Compliance and Audit Officer. The Office is a small, dynamic team dedicated to promoting integrity, accountability and transparency in Queensland’s public institutions, contributing to a broader vision of building public confidence in government decision-making and conduct. The Opportunity The Regulatory Compliance and Audit Officer will support the regulatory responsibilities by ensuring the Queensland Lobbyists Register is accurate and reliable, and by contributing to ongoing compliance and audit activities. The role includes developing quality assurance and audit frameworks, monitoring compliance with legislative and policy requirements, reviewing potential breaches and preparing recommendations for action. You’ll also assist with performance reporting, help develop training materials and factsheets, support registration processes, and build strong relationships with stakeholders while contributing to continuous improvement in regulatory operations. About You You are someone who brings strong analytical capability, sound judgement and a commitment to high standards of integrity. You thrive in environments where accuracy, clear communication and relationship-building are key, and you are motivated by contributing to effective regulatory oversight. You will bring: Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data for compliance decision-making. Experience with data management systems and tools, ideally within a government or regulatory setting or from the private sector. Confidence managing competing priorities while maintaining objectivity and sound judgement. Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to guide others on legislative obligations and contribute to training and education materials. Accountability, initiative and a commitment to continuous learning and high-quality outcomes.
