Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking two AO3 Paralegal Support Officers to join a specialised legal team within a large Queensland Government department. These roles support the Insurance and Risk (WorkCover) area and provide essential paralegal and administrative services to legal practitioners. Key Responsibilities: • Provide paralegal assistance including filing and serving legal documents, conducting searches, and preparing briefs, indexes and court-related materials • Assist with the discovery process, including document inspection, copying, redaction and maintaining accurate records • Draft routine correspondence and court documentation • Support trial preparation, legal research, and coordination of meetings, appointments and conferences • Maintain bring-up systems and other tools that assist legal staff with workflow management • Liaise with clients, Counsel, legal practitioners and expert witnesses • Complete administrative tasks including file management, time recording, billing support and document processing • Work across teams and branches where required to meet operational needs • Adhere to office standards relating to client service, quality, timeliness and billable hour expectations About You: • Experience in a legal, paralegal or administrative support role within a legal environment • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines • High attention to detail, particularly when handling legal documents and confidential information • Confident communicator with the ability to liaise professionally with a wide range of stakeholders • Process-driven, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and structured environment • Willingness to undertake work that may involve exposure to sensitive or potentially distressing material, with resilience and awareness of wellbeing requirements • Proficient in document preparation, data entry, and general administrative systems This is a fantastic opportunity to build your paralegal capability within a respected government legal practice and contribute to the delivery of high-quality legal services.
