As our Senior Compliance Coordinator you will: - Supervise teams of Biosecurity Inspectors to achieve outcomes consistent with the compliance plan and Human-Assisted Spread Mitigation Strategy 2022-2027 for the National Fire Ant Eradication Program.- Use various Intelligence and Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) tools to gather, analyse, and interpret complex data related to fire ant eradication efforts.- Lead and direct investigations of alleged breaches of Biosecurity legislation including planning, gathering evidence, conducting interviews, collecting witness statements, and preparing court briefs in conjunction with Biosecurity QueenslandInvestigations Unit, and in accordance with the policies and procedures. - Recommend, initiate, and manage appropriate enforcement and movement control action under the Biosecurity Act 2014 and Biosecurity Regulation 2016, including assessing, recommending, and taking regulatory action on significant fire ant detections.- Plan and allocate compliance tasks in line with the compliance plan and Human-Assisted Spread Mitigation Strategy 2022-2027 for the National Fire Ant Eradication Program.- Review and update operational procedures to ensure achievement of the program's goals and in accordance with relevant legislation. - Regularly report to the Principal Compliance Coordinator on Intelligence related activities. - Develop and maintain effective relationships, networks and partnerships with stakeholders, including government, community and industry leaders to facilitate the eradication of Red Imported Fire Ant.- Foster a culture that values individual and team performance and strives for continuous improvement and efficiencies in meeting the objectives of the National Fire Ant Eradication Program.- Adapts to change and can readily modify operational practices accordingly. You may also have - · Appointment as a Queensland Biosecurity Authorised Inspector or strong knowledge of the legal requirements of an authorised officer under a relevant Act or Regulation would be highly regarded.· Experience in intelligence led · Experience in explaining compliance requirements to encourage voluntary compliance with biosecurity requirements.· Excellent information, evidence gathering and analysis skills, including the ability to write up clear report/statements of fact and recommendations.
