Pulse Plumbing & Gas is expanding our civil works division, with multiple new projects commencing across South East Queensland. We are seeking an experienced Pipe & Drain Layer to join our high-performing team and support the delivery of stormwater, sewer, and water infrastructure installations. About the Role As a Pipe & Drain Layer, you will support our civil crews in installing and maintaining underground services. You will work closely with our plumbers, machine operators, and site supervisors to ensure works are delivered efficiently, safely, and to specification. Key Responsibilities Install stormwater, sewer, and water pipelines for civil infrastructure projects Prepare and set out trenches to correct line, level, and grade Assist with compaction, backfilling, and pressure/leak testing Read and interpret civil drawings and service plans Operate small plant and equipment when required Maintain a safe and compliant work area in line with WHS requirements Communicate effectively with the broader site team and project managers About You 2–3 years’ experience in pipe laying, drainage, or civil infrastructure Sound understanding of trenching, bedding, shoring, and compaction Ability to read levels and work accurately to line and grade White Card (Construction Induction) – essential Current driver’s licence – essential Excavator, roller, or skid steer ticket (advantageous) Confident working in a fast-paced civil environment Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varied conditions Why Join Pulse Plumbing & Gas?
