About the Role An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and dynamic Student Support Officer at Miami State High School. As the Student Support Officer, you will play a vital role in enhancing student wellbeing and academic outcomes through collaboration with students, families, and staff. Key responsibilities include: Build and sustain positive relationships with students, parents, community, and elders, providing input into local decision-making to ensure optimum outcomes. Liaise with families and conduct home visits to encourage school attendance and motivate students. Recognise and address educational, social, emotional, or behavioural issues among students. Monitor student behaviour and wellbeing, identifying issues and organising intervention strategies. Lead initiatives to foster a positive, caring, and supportive environment for students, families, and community members.
