The Role An opportunity has become available for a Director of Nursing (Performance, Scheduling and Access) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will Lead operational performance and planning across the portfolio to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality care that meets organisational and systemwide targets Drive excellence in patient flow and access, partnering with executive leaders to optimise capacity and performance across all facilities Strengthen governance, risk, and compliance frameworks to ensure operational accountability, legislative adherence, and service quality Inspire and lead high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, readiness, and a culture of continuous improvement across the health service About you To be successful in this position you will require: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia A Masters or higher qualification within a relevant area is highly desirable Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Benefits Flexible work options Career Development Salary Packaging Modern Facilities Diverse Work Culture Research Opportunities 12.75% super 17.5% leave loading Salary Permanent full time Base salary $191 973 per annum About Us Working with facility Directors of Nursing, this position supports the Office of the Chief Operating Officer to achieve sustainable service outcomes and operational readiness for new hospitals and care models.
