About the opportunity
As Australia’s newest uranium producer, we’re growing and looking for two experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our Maintenance team at the Honeymoon mine site in South Australia.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for providing mechanical servicing, metal fabrication and preventative maintenance on the processing plant, wellfields and camp facilities.
You’ll identify improvements to equipment/plant to increase reliability and improve efficiency & plant output.
Our Maintenance Department is small and responsible for the maintenance of all plant and equipment across the entire site.
Working on a small site, you’ll need excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with your team and others, across the business. We work collaboratively and support each other to “get the job done,” safely and efficiently.
The role will be FIFO from the Adelaide charter terminal or Port Augusta, direct to site on an 8:6 roster. We will also consider DIDO from Broken Hill.
In terms of specific responsibilities, you will:
- Perform breakdown and preventative maintenance repairs on plant and equipment.
- Carry out routine inspections of plant/equipment including preventative measures and condition reporting.
- Complete planned work providing feedback to Supervisors and Planners.
- Develop Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Safe Work Instructions (SWIs).
- Review critical spares and assist Planners in the implementation of BOM’s in Pronto.
- Participate in call outs as required.
- Assistance with plant commissioning.
About You
What you’ll need:
- Experience in a similar role in heavy industry or mining,
- A valid Australian driver’s license, with the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
- An Australian Mechanical or Metal Fabrication trade qualification (dual trade preferred.)
- Demonstrated fault-finding and diagnostic experience on fixed plant equipment.
- Experience using Maintenance Management Systems (MMS).
- Sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements in a mining environment.
- A strong focus on and commitment to, working safely.
