About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and reliable Electrician to join our Panel Workshop team on a casual basis. This role offers a diverse mix of control panel assembly, switchboard wiring, on-site installation, and construction activities within high-voltage and low-voltage environments. You’ll play a key part in delivering quality electrical solutions while maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, wire, and test control panels and switchboards using electrical schematics and manufacturing drawings.
- Carry out site installation works, including HV/LV cabling, panel installation, and electrical/mechanical construction duties.
- Assist with testing and commissioning of electrical substation and infrastructure installations.
- Manage and organise materials, equipment, and project documentation in both workshop and site environments.
- Maintain high safety standards by following SWPs, identifying hazards, and participating in WHS programs and audits.
- Complete quality documentation, check sheets, and compliance records in line with the company’s Quality Management System.
About You
- Mandatory A-Grade Electrical License (South Australia or ability to transfer)
- Experience in control panel building or wireman duties (essential).
- Strong ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturing drawings.
- Experience in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure-based electrical work.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and workmanship.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
- White Card (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
