About the Role Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Board, this role takes full ownership of business operations, finance coordination, systems, and compliance. You’ll work closely with a small senior leadership team, supporting the people who deliver the work while making sure the business itself runs smoothly. This is not a corporate ivory-tower position. You’ll be hands-on, working side by side with technical professionals - refining processes, supporting budgets, and yes, occasionally helping keep the coffee machine stocked. Key Responsibilities Oversee finance functions (budgeting, reporting, external accounting coordination) Manage HR, recruitment, and performance systems Maintain and optimise business systems (Deltek, SharePoint, PowerBI, etc.) Lead compliance, risk, QA, and insurance oversight Manage supplier relationships (IT, finance, marketing, HR) Drive process improvements across project and office operations Support the Board and MD with strategy execution and operational reporting About You You’re an organised, practical operator who takes pride in keeping things running well. You enjoy working in a smaller, high-performing environment where everyone contributes, no task too big or too small.
