About the role This is an excellent permanent part-time role across four days a week, where you’ll play a key part in a supportive and collaborative finance team. You’ll manage payroll for 100–150 employees across multiple awards and agreements, helping to keep the organisation running smoothly. The role is hands-on, varied, and backed by a manager who trusts you, supports you, and gives you the autonomy to get on with the job. Key responsibilities include Full end-to-end fortnightly payroll processing Maintaining and updating payroll systems and employee records Applying award interpretation accurately across a diverse workforce Managing onboarding and offboarding payroll actions Processing higher duties, contract variations and allowances Calculating entitlements, overtime, backpay and ad hoc payments Managing superannuation, salary sacrifice, PPL and WorkCover submissions Completing STP and EOFY reporting Supporting audits, reconciliations and payroll reporting Providing friendly, prompt payroll guidance to staff and managers No two days will look the same! if you enjoy variety, independence, and the satisfaction of running a clean, compliant payroll function, this role will suit you perfectly. You will also bring: Proven payroll experience in a medium-sized organisation Strong award interpretation capability Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to confidently manage competing priorities Strong Excel and MS Office skills A friendly, approachable style when supporting staff Experience in not-for-profit or community services is a bonus, but not essential, the right attitude and adaptability matter most.
