Senior Structural Engineer An established engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing Melbourne team. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys technical design, client interaction, and leading project delivery from concept through to construction. What You’ll Work On You will deliver structural design and consultancy services across a diverse portfolio, including: Aged Care: Structural design for modern aged-care facilities with integrated services and compliance requirements. Medium Rise (6–8 Storeys): Residential/mixed-use buildings with 2–3 level basements, including shoring and lateral system design. High Rise: Experience up to 22 storeys 4 basements, including wind/drift control and deep excavation challenges. Temporary Works: Propping, shoring, formwork, crane bases, and construction-stage certifications. Certification: Independent structural review and sign-off for large commercial and residential projects. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, cost-effective structural engineering design Lead and coordinate with internal engineers, drafters and external stakeholders Develop design concepts, detailed analysis and documentation Conduct site inspections and liaise with authorities for approvals Support fee proposals, tender submissions, and client relationship management Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers Ensure compliance with standards, quality systems and project timelines Preference given to engineers with CPEng / professional registration to support certification projects.
