Senior PR and Communications Officer Fixed-term, part-time position (maternity cover) Based at Mosman Park Reporting to the PR, Communications and Events Advisor, the primary objective of this role is to drive the development and production of engaging and compelling content for Rocky Bay’s PR and communications channels. Your key responsibilities include: Strengthen Rocky Bay’s brand through development and effective coordination of external PR and internal communications campaigns which reinforce our purpose, values and positioning. Seek opportunities to maximise media coverage and PR opportunities Develop and coordinate Marcomms and Communications Plans, along with the greater Marketing team, to deliver an integrated approach to the promotion of brand, services and recruitment Actively research and understand the marketplace within which Rocky Bay operates to better target our PR and Communications activities Represent Rocky Bay at external events and enhance Rocky Bay’s reputation Act as guardian of the internal brand, encouraging consistency of all communications What we're looking for You will be an energetic and innovative self-starter who thrives on a challenge. You can successfully plan projects, have excellent organisation skills, high attention to detail and outstanding communication skills (verbal and written). Success in this role will be dependent on your ability to build relationships and influence people, as well as your strong commitment to the team Experience and Skills required A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing or related discipline Outstanding communication, influencing and engagement skills Excellent writing skills across a broad range of mediums including annual reports, speeches, newsletters, white papers, staff communications etc Ability to build & sustain a diverse range of collaborative relationships with stakeholders Preferred established media networks and relationships or proven successful track record in a PR services role High level of personal drive & resilience Demonstrated integrity, self-awareness and professionalism Continuous improvement mindset Demonstrated commercial acumen and strong understanding of contemporary practices, trends and opportunities Experience of media monitoring tools, Adobe CS suite, Canva or other creative packages would be highly regarded In return, Rocky Bay offers: A wide range of employee benefits and health and wellness programs including employee assistance programs, 8% discount off HBF Health discounts, Commonwealth Bank product discounts, to name a few.
