We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Communications Technician to support the design, installation, and maintenance of mission-critical communication systems across a variety of industries. About the Role You’ll play a hands-on role in building and maintaining reliable radio, data, and network systems. Working in the field and workshop, you’ll ensure high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. The position suits someone with strong technical ability, solid fault-finding skills, and a professional, customer-focused approach. Key Responsibilities Service, repair, and maintain communications equipment in workshop, vehicle, and on-site environments Diagnose and resolve technical faults in radio and data systems Assist with solution design, documentation, and system integration Conduct site surveys and preventative maintenance inspections Support project delivery teams with installation, testing, and commissioning Prepare scopes of work, bills of materials, and schematic drawings Provide pre- and post-sales technical assistance when required Maintain accurate job records and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards Skills & Experience Certificate III in Electronics and Communications or equivalent trade qualification Minimum two years’ experience servicing or installing communications systems Proven experience with radio and data networks; Motorola product knowledge, P25. DBR, Tetra highly regarded Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (IP/LAN) Basic electrical/electronic fault-finding and repair skills Ability to interpret technical drawings and use diagnostic tools Dogging / Rigging Certs Open Cabler registration Working at Heights and EWP licences Current unrestricted driver’s licence
