Description Job Purpose We are seeking a Customer Service Coordinator to join our team at Port Botany NSW. In this role, you will act as the primary liaison between our customers and the scheduling teams, ensuring seamless communication and efficient operational outcomes. This is a permanent, full-time position, with work required across Monday–Sunday. You will manage customer operational requests, support container and vessel movements, and build strong relationships with local and international stakeholders. You will also oversee a dedicated customer portfolio, with a focus on driving continuous improvement in vessel utilisation, container flow, and logistics processes to ensure smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities: Act as the primary liaison between customers and national scheduling teams across terminals in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth. Manage daily customer operational needs, including delivery changes, damage reports, empty container movements, and stack run-in requirements to support vessel utilisation. Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international stakeholders, with a solid understanding of customer requirements. Oversee a dedicated customer portfolio, providing tailored support and identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and revenue. Drive continuous improvement in vessel utilisation, container flow, and logistics processes, including developing improved customer interfaces. Provide proactive, responsive customer service through early planning, prompt action, and clear communication. Qualifications, Skills and Experience : Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with client lines and terminal operations teams. Proficient in DP World planning systems (e.g., Sn4, SSR) and PC-based applications to support reporting and analysis. Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility to manage changing priorities. Analytical and proactive approach to identifying operational issues and recommending practical solutions. Willingness to take ownership of role-related projects and drive them through to completion. Shipping, transport, or logistics industry experience is highly desirable.
