This is Contour. Built by students, for students. What You Will Do As our Lead Automation Engineer, you will own the automation and AI delivery function end-to-end. You will work across sales, operations, publishing, and marketing to design, build, and run systems that connect every part of the business. Plan, Build, and Ship : You’ll design and implement automations using Make.com, n8n, and HubSpot; lead sprint planning, standups, and retros; translate business requirements into scoped, testable workflows; connect systems like LMS, CMS, Stripe, and Google Workspace; and build lightweight tools in Airtable or internal forms to reduce manual work. Test and Assure Quality : You’ll build testing frameworks and error monitoring systems; coordinate UAT and document issues; validate inputs and track failures; provide final QA sign-offs before release; and run post-deployment reviews to measure impact. Document and Maintain : You’ll build and maintain the automation library with clear ownership and change history; keep documentation consistent and accessible; and ensure automations are modular, reusable, and scalable. Integrate and Innovate : You’ll experiment with AI tools for automation and data processing; prototype new use cases with the Head of Technology; collaborate across departments to identify automation opportunities; and partner with leadership to deliver measurable business value. Measure and Improve : You’ll track metrics such as uptime, adoption, and time saved; identify and resolve bottlenecks; and continuously refine systems for improved reliability and speed.
