The role of the Network Engineer in the Operations Team will require you to provide support and maintenance to the ACT Government data network across all Directorates and sites throughout the ACT, which can include the troubleshooting and rectification of faults and issues, as well as assisting in the deployment of new technology and connections to meet the demands of our ever-growing enterprise. Documentation is also critical to this role, so the ability to review and update technical procedures, processes, knowledge base articles and configurations is essential. ACT based applicants are preferred for this role, as the duties will require you to work in various ACT Government locations, as well as being available for on-call and after-hours work. Eligibility/Other requirements: The position requires the successful applicant to be an Australian citizen and possess, or acquire and maintain, an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency security clearance at the Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) level as an eligibility qualification for the position. If screening is not successful, your employment will not commence or, if already commenced, your employment will be reassessed. Class C driver's licence is essential. Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 maybe required.
