The Opportunity McArthur is seeking an experienced APS6 Program Coordinator, to support the National Measurement Institute over a 6-month term. The role works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to research and analyse compliance trends, develop program proposals and is responsible for ongoing management of established compliance programs. The opportunity sits within the Legal Metrology Branch, which has a critical role in ensuring Australian consumers and industry can rely on trusted measurements for fair trade in goods and services, and that traders comply with the law by adopting correct measurement trading practices. This is a casual position, with a commitment to full-time hours commencing January 2026, until June 30 th , 2026. Located in Port Melbourne. Key Responsibilities Liaising with other sections, business units and stakeholders and facilitate research and planning of program delivery across LMB / NMI programs. Establishing and maintaining constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and other service providers. Undertake risk assessment and risk management activities for compliance projects / programs, considering risks in the context of reputation, financial, fraud, conflicts of interest (perceived or actual), safety and security. Through a consultative process, develop and write program plans, program briefs, and project plans. Analyse data and report on data trends and program outcomes. Actively monitor and manage program plans. Under guidance, develop evaluation reporting on program objectives, program outcomes and work area performance for presentation to the Executive. Building capability in a team environment through sharing knowledge and ideas to support continuous improvement principles. Supporting peers in a team environment to facilitate the timely delivery of program plans and associated analysis and reporting. Selection Criteria Sound operational knowledge of the National Measurement ACT 1960 Experience in contemporary database interrogation, analysis and reporting software Experience in project management, or relevant qualification Experience in developing compliance programs and cycles.
