Your next career opportunity As the Leadership Giving Manager at the University of Melbourne, you'll play a pivotal role in securing significant philanthropic support that drives the institution's priorities. This role offers you the chance to develop your fundraising career at the intersection of mid-level, major, and planned giving. You will cultivate donor relationships, connecting philanthropists' values with world-changing research and education initiatives, and work closely with Advancement colleagues, academic leaders and professional staff to foster a positive, collaborative culture that supports professional growth and cross-team success. Your responsibilities will include: Manage Donor Portfolio: Cultivate and solicit a portfolio of 100-150 donors and prospects, conducting approximately 15 donor meetings per month. Drive Strategic Fundraising: Develop tailored cultivation strategies that align donors' values with University priorities, preparing compelling proposals and gift agreements. Advance Gifts in Wills Program: Contribute to the University's legacy giving strategy, growing the pipeline and meeting confirmed bequest targets. Foster Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Advancement colleagues to ensure seamless donor transitions and optimal stewardship. You may be a great fit if: You are a relationship-driven fundraiser with proven success in donor engagement and/or Gifts in Wills fundraising, bringing technical proficiency, curiosity, and professional behaviours that support a high-performing team culture. You may also: Have a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bring proven experience managing large donor portfolios with a track record or building and sustaining meaningful relationships. Demonstrate sound judgment, empathy, and discretion when navigating complex donor conversations.
