Digital Canberra (DCBR) is seeking a motivated Project Coordinator to support the delivery of ICT projects as part of the Canberra Institute of Technology's (CIT) Cloud Campus Program. This role plays a key part in CIT’s digital transformation journey and is nominally based within the Initiative Delivery Team. As a member of a multi-disciplinary delivery model, the Project Officer will manage assigned projects or work packages and collaborate across DCBR and with stakeholders across the ACT Government to ensure successful delivery of digital initiatives. Reporting to the Cloud Campus Program Project Managers / Program Manager, the role also operates within a matrix structure, with accountability to the Senior Director, Initiative Delivery, and the DCBR Project Responsible Officer and/or Executive. The Project Officer will contribute to the transparent tracking of program and project objectives, supporting governance and reporting processes. We’re looking for a proactive team member with experience in ICT project environments with strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and organisational skills. Relevant qualifications or certifications (e.g., PRINCE2 Foundation, Agile Project Management, Scrum) are desirable. As part of the ACT Public Service, this role offers flexible working arrangements, including hybrid work based primarily at CIT Bruce Campus, customer sites, and/or home. Eligibility/Other requirements: Hold a current Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD)-issued Personnel Vetting Program certificate or the ability to obtain and maintain a certificate is mandatory. Highly developed knowledge and experience in the delivery of projects in two or more of the following areas: COTS implementation, ICT infrastructure commissioning, software development, and/or business improvement. Tertiary level qualifications and/or certification in Project Management and Program Management are highly desirable. These include one or more of: Diploma of Project Management, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner, Agile Project Management (AgilePM) Practitioner, Certified ScrumMaster, Management of Successful Programmes (MSP) Foundation. Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of up to 12 months. This position requires the occupant(s) to be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. This position is based at a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
