Your role at St John of God Healthcare at Home Several casual vacancies are available for Administration Assistants to provide collaborative administration support for the Healthcare at Home team at our Service Delivery Centre, in Mt Lawley . In this role, you will primarily be responsible for Patient Administration consisting of clerical functions associated with patient admissions through to patient discharge. This includes entering patient data from a referral, completing the financial details and scheduling the patient visits for multiple services. You will be the first point of contact for our patients, referrers and stakeholders. The Position Collaborates with the clinical teams to support the seamless delivery of patient care. Responds to patient queries with appropriate escalation to clinical resources. Compilation and management of the patient file including patient admission documentation, care plans, medications charts and clinical notes in accordance with the National Standards. Processes patient referrals including scheduling visits to ensure appropriate allocation of resources considering skills and geographical location to optimize efficiencies. Provides accurate data entry of patient information using the Patient Management System in alignment with procedures. Completes health fund checks and supports the follow up of all funding extensions including requests for ex gratia payments. Reconciles the return of patient documentation and files with patient discharge report. The successful candidate will have prior experience in an administration and customer service role. You will be self-motivated, with excellent oral and communication skills, and exceptional attention to detail. Previous experience using a patient or client management system such as Alayacare, WebPas or Personify Care will be highly regarded. We are looking for self-starters with a strong work ethic who can prioritise, multitask and deliver the highest standard of customer service that meet client needs in all areas of service while also always upholding data privacy and confidentiality.
