The role is an all-rounder to support the secretaries during busy periods and provide coverage when a team member is away unexpectedly. No prior experience is required—just a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a team-focused mindset. Our clients are a multidisciplinary specialist practice of surgeons offering advice and treatments across the full range of spine and brain conditions. The surgeons are supported by other medical specialists, allied health providers and administration staff. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the criteria below:- Duties: Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner, both in person and on the phone. Schedule and manage patient appointments efficiently. Maintain accurate patient records, including updating personal and medical information. Handle patient inquiries and provide basic information about services offered. Process patient check-ins and check-outs, including billing and payment where applicable. Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure smooth workflow. Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including phone calls, emails, and mail. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to data protection policies. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and basic office organisation. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly, empathetic, and professional attitude towards patients. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation. Basic computer skills and familiarity with office software (e.g., MS Office, scheduling systems) knowledge of a medical based software program advantageous. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. Teamwork and adaptability to support a busy medical practice.
