We’re working with a leading organisation in the energy and utilities sector that is undergoing a major transformation, moving from legacy systems to a modern, cloud-based data ecosystem. They are looking for a Data Transformation Lead to help define the target data environment and lead a key migration program as part of a broader digital transformation initiative. The Opportunity As the Data Transformation Lead, you will play a central role in shaping and embedding a new data and analytics ecosystem that supports the organisation’s journey to become a data-driven, customer-centric business. You will report to a senior executive and work closely with a Product Owner and Technical Architect to deliver the data transformation strategy and ensure the new environment is future-ready. Key Responsibilities Define the target state for the data ecosystem, covering architecture, governance, standards, and maturity uplift. Lead the end-to-end data migration from legacy systems, including data cleansing, mapping, and transformation. Establish and embed robust data governance frameworks and best practices across the organisation. Collaborate with global and local teams to align data standards and improve interoperability. Promote a strong data culture and enable self-service analytics across teams. About You Proven experience leading large-scale data or digital transformation programs in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Strong expertise in data management, architecture, and governance frameworks. A technical background, ideally having worked as a developer, engineer, or architect earlier in your career. Confident navigating global teams and influencing senior stakeholders. Experience with modern data technologies such as AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue), Databricks, DataIQ, and Power BI. Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into practical and measurable outcomes.
