As a team member you will be contributing to the sustainable supply of rare earths metals which are used in oil & gas, electric vehicles, and wind turbines. An opportunity exists for a Senior Environmental Advisor to lead environmental and community-related activities across site operations. This key position provides critical support to line managers to achieve HSE objectives and ensures the effective implementation of the Environmental Management System in line with Mt Weld standards and all relevant legislative requirements. This is a FIFO position from Perth to our Mt Weld Operations on an 8/6 roster. As a highly valued member of the Lynas Rare Earths team, you will: Coordinate all environmental activities at Mt Weld, including management and reporting of environmental incidents. Lead the environmental monitoring program: conduct and/or supervise sampling, data collection, validation, and accurate recording. Build environmental capability across the operation to support delivery of environmental objectives. Ensure compliance with all environmental licences, legislation, and company standards; prepare and submit statutory reports as required. Conduct annual reviews of environmental Policies, Standards, and Procedures to ensure legislative compliance and lead communication of updates across the workforce. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve environmental processes, procedures, and standards. Mentor and guide the Environmental Advisor and community relations team to strengthen skills and capability. Support the HSE Superintendent in maintaining strong relationships with regulators and the workforce. Champion education and other initiatives to continuously improve workforce environmental mindset outside of the HSE team. About You: Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline. Valid C class manual driver’s license; confident driving on gravel roads.
